Chart Growth Learning Hub ("Chart Growth," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and issuances of the National Privacy Commission (NPC).
1. Who we are (Personal Information Controller)
For the purposes of the Data Privacy Act, Chart Growth Learning Hub is the Personal Information Controller responsible for your data. You may contact our Data Protection Officer using the details in Section 11.
2. What personal data we collect
We collect only what we need to operate our educational community and communicate with you:
- Information you give us: your name and email address when you subscribe to our newsletter, and any name, email, and message content you submit through our contact form.
- Information collected automatically: limited technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, gathered through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 8).
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (such as government ID numbers, financial account details, or health information). Please do not submit such information through our forms.
3. Why we process your data (purpose and lawful basis)
We process your personal data for the following purposes, relying on your consent and our legitimate interests as lawful criteria under the Act:
- To send you the newsletter, the free starter kit, and related educational emails you requested;
- To respond to inquiries you send through the contact form or by email;
- To improve our website, content, and community experience;
- To protect against fraud, abuse, and security threats; and
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. Newsletter consent
You will only receive marketing or educational emails from us if you actively subscribe and tick the consent box. Your consent is freely given, specific, and informed. Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
5. How we share your data
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it only with:
- Service providers (sub-processors) who help us operate, such as email-delivery and automation platforms (for example, our newsletter and workflow tools) and our website host. These providers process data on our instructions under appropriate agreements.
- Authorities, where required by law, court order, or a valid request from the NPC or other competent body.
Some providers may store data on servers outside the Philippines. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure a comparable level of protection consistent with the Act.
6. How long we keep your data
We retain newsletter data for as long as you remain subscribed and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping. Contact-form messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your inquiry and any follow-up. When data is no longer required, we securely delete or anonymize it.
7. Your rights under the Data Privacy Act
Subject to the Act, you have the right to: be informed; access your data; object to or withdraw consent for processing; rectify inaccurate data; erasure or blocking; data portability; lodge a complaint with the NPC; and to damages for violations. To exercise any right, contact our Data Protection Officer (Section 11). We will respond within a reasonable period.
